How To Remove Your Old ISP Settings From Your Computer

To remove AOL, Prodigy, NetZero, Juno, CompuServe (using Windows):
From your desktop, right-click on the icon that opens that providers program.
Select Delete, when asked if you are sure you want to delete this icon, click Yes.
Double click on the icon "My Computer."
Double click on the "Control Panel."
Double click on "Add/Remove Programs."
Scroll down until you see the name of the provider you want to delete.
Highlight the name of your current provider and click "Add/Remove."
You may have to select several versions to remove from your computer and you can remove each version by clicking "Next."
After your computer completes the uninstall, you will be asked to restart your computer. If all of your open programs are saved, click yes.
To remove any other Internet Service Provider for
From your desktop, right-click from your mouse on the icon that opens the providers program.
Select Delete, when asked if you are sure you want to delete this icon, click Yes.
Double click on "My Computer."
Double click on "Dial Up Networking."
Right click on the icon for the provider and select "Delete" - click Yes when the computer asks if you are sure you want to remove this program.
From your desktop, right-click from your mouse on the icon that opens the providers program.
Select Delete, when asked if you are sure you want to delete this icon, click Yes.
Double click on "My Computer."
Double click on the "Control Panel."
Double click on "Dial Up Networking."
Right click on the icon for the provider and select "Delete" - click Yes when the computer asks if you are sure you want to remove this program.
From your desktop, right-click from your mouse on the icon that opens the providers program.
Select Delete, when asked if you are sure you want to delete this icon, click Yes.
Double click on "My Computer."
Double click on "Dial Up Networking."
From your phonebook select the entry that you want to remove and click Delete.
When asked if you are sure you want to delete this entry say Yes.
From your desktop, click on the "Start" menu.
Click on "Network Connections." (left side of screen)
Click on "Network Tasks" (left side of screen)
On the right side of the screen, right-click on the providers icon and select Delete.
When asked if you are sure you want to delete this entry say Yes.
To Remove AOL:
Move any folders labeled as AOL or America Online on the Macintosh Hard Disk to the Trash Bin.
Go to systems folders, then go to Extensions. Move any AOL Extensions to the Extensions (Disabled) folder.
Reboot the Macintosh. If no problems occur, and the desktop loads normally with no errors, empty the Trash Bin (Special/Empty Trash).
To Remove Prodigy, NetZero, Juno, CompuServe:
Move any folders labeled as Prodigy/NetZero/Juno/CompuServe online on the Macintosh Hard Disk to the Trash Bin.
Go to Systems Folders, then to Extensions. Move any Prodigy/NetZero/Juno/CompuServe extensions to the Extensions (Disabled) folder.
Reboot the Macintosh. If no problems occur, and the desktop loads normally with no errors, empty the Trash Bin (Special/Empty Trash).
