(7/1, Wed) - America Veterans Travelling Wall Tribute - America Veterans Travelling Wall Tribute. In cooperation with regional law enforcement, South Bay Biker Productions is organizing a fitting escort for the America Veterans Traveling Tributes (www.avtt.org) truck rig which contains 80% scale replicas of the sacred “Traveling Wall” & “Cost of Freedom” displays – over a football field long when they are set up! We have also invited the Malin Car Show owner/drivers to join the motorcyclists, Patriot Guard Riders, CA & OR law enforcement, civil service & regional military personnel & their vehicles in this escort which will muster at the Klamath Falls Home Depot parking lot at 10:00 am. The escort will be lead by Ms. Carolyn Blashek & SSG Elizabeth Cowie, the founders of Operation Gratitude www.operationgratitude.com. The AVTT escort will travel west on 6thAve, to Washburn Way, to Hwy 140, to Hwy 139, & on to the Tulelake-Butte Valley Fairgrounds for set up. We hope the citizens & businesses in the area will turn out to pay their respects & to witness the escort lead by two authentic American heroes as it passes. 877-688-4229
(7/3, Fri) - Shasta Salute to America - Shasta Salute to America. Motorcycle Rally at the Tulelake-Butte Valley Fairgrounds. The theme of our event is to honor America’s troops & celebrate our freedom to ride. We are planning to make the Shasta Salute to America Motorcycle Rally the greatest patriotic motorcycle event in the western region of America. All the ingredients are in place: a supportive community with a rich veterans’ history, many supportive regional businesses, supportive regional military installations & supportive law enforcement. Add beautiful riding and great places to discover and you have what it takes to launch a new tradition for motorcyclists – the largest, most mobile, fuel efficient & affluent hobby group in the world! (7/4, Sat) - La Pine’s 2009 Rodeo - La Pine’s 2009 rodeo starts at 1:00pm for the rodeo and 12:30pm both days for the Mutton Busting' (a huge crowd favorite). The ticket prices are $10.00 General Admission, $8.00 for seniors and children 6-12. Children 5 years and under are free. We're very proud to again have Hall of Fame Announcer Kedo Olsen (a GREAT crowed pleaser), the La Pine Rodeo Riders Drill Team and cowboys and cowgirls from all the Western States, Canada and other areas of the nation. (7/4, Sat) - 4th of July Street Fair & Parade - 4th of July Street Fair & Parade in downtown Klamath Falls! Historic Main Street will have something for everyone all day, including art exhibits, story telling, craft booths, lots of shopping, skateboard demonstrations, flying raptor exhibits, live music and great food! The day begins with the Street Fair at 9 AM and the 4th of July Parade at 10 AM. Cap off the celebration with a fireworks display over Lake Ewauna at Veteran's Memorial Park. (7/4, Sat) - Malin Car Show and Parade - Step back in time to admire these vintage cars and trucks at the Malin Car Show and Parade. This event starts with a pancake breakfast, a themed parade is at 10 AM, and the vintage car show is at 1 PM. Come enjoy lots of food, vendors, arts and crafts and fun! (7/11, Sat) - Seussical Jr. the Musical - Ross Ragland Youth Theater Day Camp presents Seussical Jr. the Musical. "Oh, the thinks you can think" when Dr.Seuss's best-loved stories collide and cavort in an unforgettable musical caper! (7/11, Sat) - Summer Fun Run & Festival - The Rip City Riders, a local fundraising organization, is holding their 2nd Annual Summer Fun Run & Festival outside at the Epicenter. (7/16, Thu) - Discover Downtown Klamath Falls - Come discover downtown Klamath Falls during the Third Thursday each month, put on by local downtown business owners, from 5 PM to 8 PM. (7/18, Sat) - Rocky Point Fire Dept. BBQ and Auction - Rocky Point Fire Department 27th Annual BBQ and Auction Benefit starts out with a huge flee market and bake sale, followed by a parade, and a BBQ lunch. After lunch, the auction begins. All proceeds will benefit the Rocky Point Fire/EMS for fire and emergency equipment for the volunteers. It returns to the theater in a gala community production that will celebrate the 20th Anniversary Season of the Ragland. Nostalgia, comedy and romance... this production has it all! You'll thrill to this tuneful tribute to the brass band and small-town America. Thursday, Friday and Saturday evenings at 7:30 PM, Sunday afternoon at 2 PM. Tickets are $16, $18 and $20.
